Changing

Mind's changing tides, shifting sands of endless pride,
Exalting yourself with days gone by,
You lift yourself O so high,
Only to fall farther from the sky
To which you aspired, your self - your guide,
What a thorn lodged in your side,
Such a lesson is learned by all who ride
The winds of achievement as if stable kites.

Sift my mind and find the gold, consume the wickedness untold,
Burn away the corruption I let lie, lift away the beams I harbor in my eyes,
Cut off the legs of waywardness provoking me to stumble,
Control my tongue and muzzle my lips causing me to mumble,
Remove my idle internal clock, that idol of my laziness,
Replace it with an urgent thought, the pure bridal mind of brazenness
May I be fierce in this epic war, and fight until I have no more
Enemies left, for I am ever filled with the Love God shed to be my Shield,
I shall ever face the day, that hastens the coming of the Ancient of Days,
Set in stone, my heart moves forward, praising the birth, death, resurrection, and soon to be second coming of my Lord.

Hallelujah, Hosanna in the highest,
Maranatha! Amen.
