My people

Crushed, smashed, bruised, beaten, twisted,
Kicked, punched, stopped, slapped, evicted,
Dissed, tripped, blocked, bullied, afflicted,
Pushed, bloodied, dropped, teased, restricted.

That's the way we roll, prayer and preaching as the vehicle,
Getting the message told, by means of great miracles,
Planting fields of gold, by the Spiritual,
Bringing new from old, God's word framed lyrical.
