Morning Prayer

Father, You alone are perfect. In all fullness You are mighty, holy, good, generous, loving, giving, just, jealous, righteous, faithful, and without sin. You tell us to be perfect even and You are perfect. Give us Your strength, Lord. Thank You for Your Spirit, and may you increase our faith and power to carry out the plans You've set before us. By Your power alone, good things get accomplished. You have forgotten our sins which, by your blood, were washed away. Lord, the enemy wants us to be OCD and continually be reminded of the guilt from which You've set us free. Let us not go about continually with our thoughts upon our depravity from what we once chose, but instead let us rest upon the righteous faith in You which, by your grace, has justified us in Your sight. Fan in us the flame of desire for Your return, Lord Jesus. Father, we love you. Forgive us our sins against Your holy name. We have been a corrupt, lying, theiving, murdering, adultering, blaspheming, coveting, and dishonoring people. Precious Jesus, draw us back to You, forgive us for such wickedness. Blessed be Your name. Because of Your being faithful and true, we sing praise to You. If we were not under Your blessing and protection, and if you had not first loved us, how could we expect to declare Your holiness and faithfulness to the world? Thank you Father. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen (so be it).
