People of the Book

As "people of the book" it would seem to make sense that we should be avid readers.....however, this does not seem to be the case with many self-professing Christians. Perhaps one reason society's falling so far is that our illiteracy rates within the church have superficially gone up, that is, we aren't reading our book, and therefore don't know what we're doing half the time. How preposterous would we be to claim we have the answers to life in a book we can't read - won't - read......
