I've dreamed a day for the day I've walked awake,
Only to question both as to their meaning, I pray,
Lord give me insight into my mind of all things,
Unravel these mysteries which confound kings,
Break through to my heart, and untie my understanding,

I want take a step, but prudence holds me,
Desire grips my ligaments while Wisdom scolds me,
Stay where you are, against the flesh and its bold deeds,
But what about the appearance of love before me,
What should I do?
