Ink the skies with your fingertip pen,
Scrollwork the winds, follow it up with the heavens,
Tell us stories in the stars, feed our imaginations,
But more than these, let us touch the scars.

I doubt logic and reason, I doubt cleverly crafted tales,
Though, I'll never doubt the holes made by sin's nails.
I'll never doubt the side puntured for justice's scales,
I'll never doubt my Lord who posted my hell jail's bail.

You've heard that without love you've got nothing,
A heart empty can't pump the blood that's not running,
Hearts grow cold when they're not thumping,
Melt the heart with conviction, there you've got something
Tear down the barriers, release the chains,
Unshackle the fetters, and let freedom reign
Rain down upon all the weak, weary, and strained,
Coming to help the sick free from their pain,
Not for those who are healthy from their earthly gain,

Changing

Mind's changing tides, shifting sands of endless pride,
Exalting yourself with days gone by,
You lift yourself O so high,
Only to fall farther from the sky
To which you aspired, your self - your guide,
What a thorn lodged in your side,
Such a lesson is learned by all who ride
The winds of achievement as if stable kites.

Sift my mind and find the gold, consume the wickedness untold,
Burn away the corruption I let lie, lift away the beams I harbor in my eyes,
Cut off the legs of waywardness provoking me to stumble,
Control my tongue and muzzle my lips causing me to mumble,
Remove my idle internal clock, that idol of my laziness,
Replace it with an urgent thought, the pure bridal mind of brazenness
May I be fierce in this epic war, and fight until I have no more
Enemies left, for I am ever filled with the Love God shed to be my Shield,
I shall ever face the day, that hastens the coming of the Ancient of Days,
Set in stone, my heart moves forward, praising the birth, death, resurrection, and soon to be second coming of my Lord.

Hallelujah, Hosanna in the highest,
Maranatha! Amen.

Strawberry blaze, summer's nights, winter's days...

Leave the world behind to take a trip through my mind,
Memory lane across the way, it's time to take the drive,
What have I to find,
A world filled yet with crime's regret,
A mistake made without any doubt, I would have played the bet,

For risk is what we do to find out if true love is true,
Suffer for what is not due, enabling experiences for the few,
Many will be found false as all will be sifted through.

Hell burns for the wicked, regret attacks the conscience,
Hell freezes over all the wicked and their nonsense

Strawberry blaze, summer's nights, winter's days...

Words of wisdom drip like honey from the lip
Of the man in front, speaks with authority so blunt.
So soft and smooth, the words sink through
My mind and touch my heart, much like David's harp.

Words of pleasure soak, like a dagger past the cloak,
Stab the unwise victim, cut his throat, that's what happens when fools and wickedness elope.

Underneath the blue, my eyes lock with you, inside my head spins, what am I gonna do?
Passions pulsing through, veins royal blue, oxygen being used up like it was meant to,
Full color in your cheeks, rosy smiling sweet, eyes like pools of purity, luring me where I'm weak,
Vulnerable so to speak, willing to risk it all, just to hear you speak,
What will you say? Hanging on every word, still holding me at bay,
Oh these games we seem to play, I'm the tou, you're the ché,

A chase where you're my prey,
I know, I'll just pray ;)

mmmm yeah

Rock under my feet, hold me and rock me to sleep,
Keep me in Your presence always, tend this wayward sheep.
With blessings kiss my cheeks, open my mind to let your Wisdom seep,
From what You've given, I work so that you can reap,
For from what You've given I've been living, and it's You I desire to keep.
Instill Your will within my feet, to walk the path of the drum you beat,
To taste of your love so sweet, to suffer for You, my treat.

I truly suffer not, for already You suffered for my lot,
You brought me to this spot, and with Your blood you bought
Me, falling though You caught me,
Hidden, though conviction sought me,
In Your Wisdom, taught me
To live a great life in You, all I can do, is give You my all, much less than You're due.
But of course, this troubles me not at all,
For I know how much I've gained since I was redeemed from such a dreadful fall,
And I know that I cannot understand that vast increase,
Brought to life through Christ, from death I've been released.

Jesus is the Rock upon which I stand, set upon when taken from the sinful quicksand,
The day is at hand, raise up your eyes to see the descent of the Son of Man,
Glorious, abounding, love envelops all surrounding, mercy overtakes us,
Like rushing waters, sounding.
Hear my tears, see my downcast face. Lift me up to your Most High place,
Hide me in the shadow of your wings, pour love over me, satisfy me with your everything.
Bless me with your word, may I have unmerited favor in your sight, lead me in your paths than I might glorify you right,
That the world may see, and that they'd give you due praise, glory to the King, glory to His name.

Though lost in pools of trial, we'll persevere. When we've stood the test, we'll be crowned with life, that precious gift so dear.

Praise Him, Praise Him

The Ancient of Days
